Abstrak

Turbin air merupakan sebuah mesin yang penggeraknya menggunakan energy air. Turbin air berfungsi mengubah energy air yang ditangkap rotor kemudian diubah menjadi listrik dengan menggunakan generator.Turbin air terdapat banyak macamnya salah satunya turbin vortex.Turbin vortex bergerak secara horizontal dan memanfaatkan tenaga pusaran air. Pembuatan PLTMH dengan turbin vortex dapat dilakukan pada Head sekitar 0,75 sampai dengan 2 meter.menghasilkan komparasi efisiensi turbin vortex dengan profil sudu spiral dan dengan sudu pipa bilah 3. Metode yang digunakan studi literatur, persiapan alat dan bahan, set up alat uji mesin turbin vortex, proses pengujian, turbin vortex dengan sudu bilah 3 dan turbin vortex dengan sudu spiral, analisa data, kesimpulan. Hasil yang ingin dicapai dalam analisa komparasi efisiensi turbin vortex dengan profil sudu spiral dan sudu pipa bilah 3 adalah lebih efisiensi mana antara turbin vortex dengan sudu belah 3 dengan sudu spiral berdasarkan daya yang dihasilkan.
