Abstrak
The problem experienced in Junior High School N 3 Bae Kudus is the lack of teaching materials and electronic learning media that suit the needs of students. Based on a preliminary study and analysis of student needs it is known that only 49% of students are interested in participating in mathematics learning. This causes the mathematical communication ability of students only reached 45% which is quite low. Due to the lack of teaching materials owned by students, from the results of the questionnaire only 69% of students have learning materials in the form of LKS and 76% of students need practical learning media such as web-basedapplications. The purpose of this research is; (1) develop the Mabar Ethnomamatics application to improve the mathematical communication skills of students, (2) test the validity of the Ethnomamatic Mabar application to improve the student's mathematical communication skills, (3) measure the practicality of the Mabar Ethnomamatics application to improve the student's mathematical communication skills. Research and Developmant research produces a learning medium in the form of web-based Mabar Ethnomamatics application that contains flat-sided space building material. This product development process uses the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely; (1) Analyze, (2) Design, (3) Development, (4) Implementationt, (5). Evaluation. Data analysis used includes analysis of application development processes, application validity, application practicality, and limited-scale trials. With data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and tests. Mabar Etnometika learning media contains the culture in PAKUDERA Regency (Pati, Kudus, Demak, and Jepara) and indicators of mathematical communication skills in examples of questions and quizzes. The validity results obtained from material and media experts resulted in a valid product with a score of 83.7% with a valid category. And the practicality results obtained from teachers and students reached 84.09% with practical categories. So that the product is worth using as a medium of student learning.
