Abstrak
English is the most popular language in the world, English Language is the international language. Mastering English helps us to communicate with people from different cultures and countries. English also taught to the students in formal school in kindergarten up to university. Arabic also is the second most popular language in the world. Especially in the middle east. The popularity of Arabic also make it taught to the students in the school. Pronunciation refers to how we create the intonation we use to create meaning when we speak. This includes the unique consonants and vowels of the language (segments), aspects of speech that go beyond the level of individual segments, such as stress, timing, rhythm, intonation, phrasing (suprasegmental aspects), and how sounds are projected (speech quality) In Yates and Zelinski (Hassan, 2014). How good when we speak, it depends on how we can say clearly and fluency about the word. So we can conclude that how extent the mastery of our speaking it depends on our pronunciation. Based on the explanation about, the researcher conducted the research as the hope if is there any significance correlation between English and Arabic Pronunciation so there will be easier to study both of the language. The researcher conducted the research about the correlation between English and Arabic pronunciation of the eleventh grade students in Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Yanbuul Qur’an Menawan Kudus. The research question was formulated as follows “What extent are the Arabic pronunciation ability of the eleventh grade students in Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Yanbuul Qur’an Menawan?”, “What extent are the English pronunciation ability of the eleventh grade students in Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Yanbuul Qur’an Menawan?”, “Is there any significance correlation between English and Arabic Pronunciation?”. The objective of the research was to find out the Arabic and English Pronunciation ability of the eleventh grade students in Madrasah Aliyah Tahfidz Yanbuul Qur’an Menawan, and to find out the correlation between English and Arabic pronunciation ability of the eleventh grade.students. The result indicated positively correlation between English and Arabic pronunciation ability of the students. And The Researcher try to give suggestion to to give more practice to the students in pronunciation ability. It is very important to prepare the pronunciation ability of the students, and also to contribute better improvement of the study and English teaching and learning process.
