Abstrak

The Speaking Ability of Extrovert and Introvert Personality Students of Second Grade Students of MTs Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Qur’an Menawan Kudus in 2019/2020 Academic Year. Skripsi. English Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty Universitas Muria Kudus. Advisor: (1) Dr. Fitri Budi Suryani M.Pd. (2) Farid Noor Romadlon S.Pd, M.Pd. Speaking is important part in studying English because students can express their ideas, feelings and what they want to others. There are some aspects that can be influence people to succeed in learning language, especially speaking, based on Brouwer (1989), motivation of the learners, personality, environment, culture, teaching materials, and teachers’ techniques, and curriculum. From his statement we can say that personality is one of main issues in learning English. By this condition, this research is comparing the extrovert and introvert students between the second grade of MTs Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Qur’an Menawan in 2019/2020 academic year. This study was conducted to identify the The Speaking Ability of Extrovert and Introvert Personality Students . The data of this research were obtained through the use of questionnaire and documentation. The method of this research was casual comparative non-experimental research. The population of this research was the second grade students of MTs Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Qur’an Menawan in the same teacher of English subject. The sample of this research was 40 students. To analyse the data, the researcher used mean, standard deviation, and independent sample t-test. The result shows that the mean of the speaking ability of extrovert students is 72.35 and the standard deviation is 14.5, and the score categorized as high. While the mean of the speaking ability of introvert students is 63.8 and the standard deviation is 16.6, and the score categorized as low. Moreover, the independent sample t-test with level of significance 0.05 and degree of freedom 58 shows that t-obtained is higher than than t-table (to = 3.768> ttab = 2.017). Based on the data above, the researcher found the result of extrovert personality is better than the introvert personality, so the researcher conclude that there is a significant difference of the The Speaking Ability of Extrovert and Introvert Personality Students of Second Grade Students of MTs Tahfidz Yanbu’ul Qur’an Menawan Kudus in 2018/2019 Academic Year. This result shows that the students’ personality effect to the students’ Speaking ability.
