Abstrak
Indonesia is an archipelagic country with handicrafts that are characteristic of the country's culture, including batik motifs from the Kudus area. Batik is the work of human hands using the canting directly as a tool for drawing with wax to create beautiful works. The resulting motifs have meaning or use, for example, motifs that express Islamic culture or Islamic calligraphy, Tambal Isen, Ciplokan Parijoto and Kawung Kretek motifs. The shape of the Kudus batik motif shows that Kudus has the concept of compatibility and harmony which is a geometric aspect. The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematics contained in the calligraphy of Batik, Tambal Isen, Ciploka Parijoto and Kwung Kretek, as well as the philosophical ideas contained in these cultures.
