Abstrak

Our research model is comprised of analysis on 3 variables that will reveal its connection between corporate governance to corporate reputation, and company reputation to performance. The objects are company in LQ45 groups by 2006-2007 periods. There are and 28 top companies in Indonesia as sample. Corporate governance measured based on internal company expectation, while company reputation measured by external company expectation (beholder). Measurement of performance is using Tobins‟ q. The results of analysis are the most dominant factor of corporate governance is corporate communication, and he most dominant factor of company reputation is perception of company financial health. The results of hypothesis test are corporate governance has no significance influence to company reputation, and company reputation has no significant influence to performance. This phenomenon is might be caused by formalism principle applied in Indonesia or the situation of business environment with high degree of agency conflict.
