                    Abstrak

                    Writing is one of basic ability as it is very important for teaching and learning English in the school. Writing involves some language components they are spelling, grammar, vocabulary, and punctuation. Writing ability is an important skill in English lesson for the students because it can help the students think critically and make it easier, and express their feeling through writing, and sort the order for the experience. The purpose of the research is to find out the answer from the statement of the problem; First, can Chronological 3D Pictures improve student’s writing ability of the tenth grade students of MA NU TBS Kudus in academic year 2013/2014. Second,How is the implementation of improving the writing ability of the tenth grade Students of MA NU TBS Kudus in Academic Year 2013/2014 Chronological 3D Pictures. The design of the research is classroom action research. The research conducted in MA NU TBS Kudus. Subject of the research is the grade X-A in second semester. The material used is Narrative text. The writer uses some instrument in this research. They are observation and achievement test by using Chronological 3D Pictures. The KKM in MA NU TBS Kudus is 70 andthe result of this research shows that the improvement occurs in every cycle. In cycle I, the average score of achievement test of writing ability by using Chronological 3D Pictures is 69.23 then the average from 69.23 into percentage to be 69.23%. The average score of achievement test of writing ability by using Chronological 3D Pictures in cycle II is 78.97 then the average score from 78.97 into percentage to be 78.97%, so the writing ability in cycle II is very satisfying. The writer concluded that Chronological 3D Pictures as a media of teaching English had proven effective in improving the ability of English writing of the students of MA NU TBS Kudus in academic year 2013/2014. Based on the result of the research above, the writer suggests that English teachers should use an interesting media in teaching and learning process. The students should be more creative and confident in exploring and expressing their own ideas through written language. It is to make students enjoy and participate actively in the class. So it can improve their writing ability.
