Abstrak

Based on observation in SD 4 Kaliwungu, the learning process still centered on the teacher where the the teacher only transformed of knowledge from the textbooks. Besides that, teacher rarely provide an opportunity for students to conduct experiments that resulted in the absence of a scientific attitude. It is necessary to apply an action research using cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament. The purpose of this research is to improve the scientific attitude and science learning achievment with the implementation of cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament in fifth grade SD 4 Kaliwungu. Teams Games Tournament is a cooperative learning model that puts students in a heterogeneous group, in Teams Games Tournament each student will play with members of other groups to get a score for the group. Cooperative learning model Teams Games Tournament consists of fifth stages: (1) a class presentation aims to introduce material to students; (2) teams to conduct experiments; (3) games to answer questions in a worksheet; (4) tournament each group to send representatives to compete with other groups; (5) Appeciation gived to the teams who obtained the highest score. This classroom action research consists of two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Research subjects were students of class fifth SD 4 Kaliwungu, Kudus. This study consisted of two cycles. Data collection techniques such as tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Furthermore, the data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the discussion and analysis showed an increase scientific attitude in each cycle, the first cycle percentage of 61,43% and 77,40% second cycle. Better learning achievement also improved cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Cognitive aspects of the first cycle with an average of 69,09 mastery 63,64% increase in cycle II to 77,95 to 81,82% completeness. Affective aspects of the first cycle increased percentage of 64,35% second cycle with the percentage 79,40% while the percentage psychomotor aspects of 62,50% in the first cycle and to 78,98% in the second cycle. The researcher suggests for teachers to apply for Teams Game Tournament learning model because this learning model can improve the scientific attitude and student learning achievment. For students expected to follow the learning process that takes place in the classroom by following the steps Teams Game Tournament learning model, as well as for schools should to improve the quality of learning by applying one of the various types of cooperative learning, especially learning models Teams Game Tournament
