Abstrak

The background of the research is science achievement of the fifth grade students of SDN I Tedunan Kedung Jepara quite low. The problems caused by the learning model used is less innovative and creative teacher. The objective of this research is (1) describe about improve management skills of teacher in science the material force by CTL model Of The Fifth Grade Students Of SDN I Tedunan, (2) describe about improve the learning students activity in science the force by CTL model Of The Fifth Grade Students Of SDN I Tedunan, (3) describe about improve learning achievement in science the force by CTL model Of The Fifth Grade Students Of SDN I Tedunan. Learning achievement of science is ability of the stundents to understanding ang changing behaviour of the students covered aspect of cognitive, affective, and psycomotor in learning the science about gravity force, swipe force, and magnetic force. Contextual teaching and learning is model learning with sign the teacher give fact learning or concrete for students. The seventh components of CTL is constructivism, inquiry, questioning, learning community, modeling, reflection and authentic assessment. This research method used classroom action research Kemmis and Mc Taggart, which used 4 phase. They are planning, acting, observing and reflecting. There are 2 cycle in the implementing research, every cycle there are 2 meeting. Every cycle has 4 steps: they are planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data of this research is the fifth grade students of SDN I Tedunan Kedung Jepara with totaly students is 17 person. The data collecting are observation, test, interview and documentation. This research uses qualitative and quantitative technique. The result of this research showed that uses model contextual teaching and learning in teaching the science, can improve management skills of teachers, students learning activities and science achievement. This is evidenced by the success indicators of research that has been achieved as follows. (1) Improved teacher learning management on the first cycle to second cycle, from 74,43% with criteria “good” and increased to second cycle became 89,78% with criteria “very good”. (2) The students learning activity affective and psychomotor on the first cycle percentage of 72,17% with criteria “good” and increased to second cycle became 88,67% with criteria “very good”. Group activities in first cycle percentage of 72,5% with criteria “good” and a second cycle to 87,5% with criteria “very good”. (3) The learning achievement of science also increased. The percentage of first cycle 59% and increased in the second cycle to 94%. The conclusion of this research is learning achievement of students and the teacher skill to managing the learning process in fifth grade students of SDN I Tedunan can increase after use model contextual teaching and learning. There are suggestions for the students that they must be more actively in learning the science and also model contextual teaching and learning can be solution for the teacher to increase learning achievement of the science from students.
