                    Abstrak

                    The background of this research is the implementation of learning model by the teacher that is not variety. The teacher often used traditional method as the tool in delivering the material, and for using the visual aid is as the supporting aid in teaching and learning process is still minimum. It makes the student bored, play by themselves, and day-dreaming. The impact can be seen from the mean of the class. Based on the data above, it needs an improvement in learning process which can make the student involves in the teaching and learning process that is by implementing inquiry learning model. The purpose of this research is to describe the student’s result study, student’s learning activity, and teacher’s skill of the science subject of heat and sound energy of the four grade students of SDN Mojowarno in year 2013/2014 by using Inquiry learning model. Inquiry is the model which give chance for the students to involve in learning process actively by trying out or experiment so that make the students think creatively and critically to find their own knowledge and finally they can use their knowledge in solving their problem. The hypothesis of this research is the implementation of Inquiry learnig model in heat and sound energy subject can improve the student’s result study and teacher’s skill of the four grade students of SDN Mojowarno. The action research has been done in the four grade students of SDN Mojowarno with the subject of the research is twenty five students. This research lasted for two cycles, by two meetings in every cycle. Every cycle consists of four steps, they are planning, action, observation, and reflection. The independent variable is inquiry model, otherwise the dependent variable is the result study of science subject. The data collecting which is used is observation, interview, test and document. Whereas the data analysis which is used is quantitative and qualitative data. The result of this research has begun from the students’ achievment before being taught by using Inquiry learning model is 36% with the mean is 59. There is an improvement of science student’s result study of heat and sound energy subject in cycle I (52%) and has improved in cycle II (84%). The students learning activity has improved in cycle I to cycle II that is 66.25% become 78.75%. It showed that there is improvement of teacher’s skill when doing action research by using Inquiry learning model. Based on the result of this action research which has been done in the four grade students of SDN Mojowarno can be concluded that the implementation of Inquiry Learnig Model can improve the students’ achievment of heat and sound energy subject of the four grade students of SDN Mojowarno. The researcher suggests that the inquiry model can be implemented by the teachers and can be developed by using visual aid so that the students can comprehend the lessons easily and fun.
