Abstrak

The background cases of this research were low level learning achievement science the 5th grade students of SD 5 Dersalam, the students do useless activity, because their activity have not relation with learning, and the teacher was still teaching students to pressed memorize material without any direct experience of students. The formulation problem of this research was how the activity students consist of affective and psychomotor aspects, teacher’s skills to manage the learning, and cognitive learning achievement science with the implementation of cooperative learning model type make a match in 5th grade students of SD 5 Dersalam?. The purposes of this research were describe to increase the activity of students consist of affective and psychomotor aspects, teacher’s skills to manage the learning, and cognitive learning achievement science with the implementation of cooperative learning model type make a match in 5th grade students of SD 5 Dersalam. Make a match in this research was one type of cooperative learning model by find pair of cards for students to learn about a concept or topic in a fun situation. Students can do discussion or simple experiment for find the right pair of cards. In addition, the result pairs of the card were attached to a large manila paper as student work posted on the classroom wall. The materials in this research were force that includes force of gravity, friction, and magnetic force. This type of research was a classroom action research conduted in 5th grade students of SD 5 Dersalam. The subjects of this research were the researcher who acted as a teacher and fifteen students in 5th grade students. This research consists of four stages, planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research does for two cycles, every cycle consist of two meetings. The independent variable of this research was cooperative learning model type make a match, while the dependent variable was learning achievement science in force material in 5th grade students of SD 5 Dersalam. Data collection techniques were use test, observation, interview, and documentation. The result of the research shows that there were increase in the percentage of mastery learning of pracycle was 33,3% (not good), the first cycle 60% (good), and the second cycle 86,7% (very good). Activity students consist of affective and psychomotor aspects increased from 55,2% (moderate) on the first cycle to 80,3% (very high) on the second cycle. Teacher’s skills in managing learning also increased from 66% (high) on the first cycle to 80,5% (very high) on the second cycle. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of cooperative learning model type make a match can improve learning achievement science in force material the 5th grade of SD 5 Dersalam. Suggestions of this research were the students should always pay attention to the explanation given the teacher, the teacher should be guiding students in discussions and conducted experiments to find pair of cards, and schools should provide a more varied instructional media.
