Abstrak

The background cases of this research were low science learning achievement in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo, teacher used lecture method, students learning activitiy low and student were less enthusiastic in participate in science learning. The formulation problem of this research was how the activity learning students, teacher’s skills to manage the science learning, and science learning achievement with the implementation of contextual teaching and learning in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo?.The purposed of this research were described to increase the teacher's skill in manage the contextual teaching and learning, students' learning activities 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo and science learning achievement with the implementation of contextual teaching and learning in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo. Contextual learning learning in this research was the learning model to help students make connections with real life students. Contextual Teaching Learning was used 7 components, there was constructivisme, questioning, inquiry, learning community, modeling, reflection and authentic assessment. Students can discuss and experiment to learn the material. The material in this research were the change in the appearance of the earth and visibility of celestial objects. Action hypothesis in the research were implementation model contextual teaching and learning can improve teacher’s skills to manage the science learning, students' learning activities 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo and science learning achievement in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo. This type of research was a classroom action research conduted in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo. The subjects of this research were the researcher who acted as a teacher and twenty eight students in 4th grade students. This research consists of four stages, planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research does for two cycles, every cycle consist of two meetings. The independent variable of this research was contextual teaching and learning model, while the dependent variable was science learning achievement in 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo. Data collection techniques were use observation, interview and test. Instrument used in this research is the observation sheet teacher skills, observation sheet affective domains of student learning activities, observation sheet psychomotor domains of student learning activities and formative test. Data analysis technique in this research were quantitative data analysis and qualitative data analysis. The result of the research shows that there were increase in the percentage of mastery learning of pracycle was 28,57 with an average score 64,89, first cycle 60,71% with an average score 71,79 and second cycle 78,57% with an average core 77,29. Teacher’s skills in managing learning also increased from 68,75% (good) on the first cycle to 92,5% (very good) on the second cycle. Activity students increased from 65,1% (good) on the first cycle to 80,6% (good) on the second cycle. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of contextual teaching and learning can improve teacher’s skills to manage science learning, improve students' learning activities 4th grade students of SD 6 Hadipolo and improve science learning achievement in 4th grade of SD 6 Hadipolo in academic year 2013/2014. Suggestions of this research were students should experiment with earnest, active expression in the discussion and pay attention to a presentation delivered by a friend, a teacher should be to guide students in discussion and experiment, and schools should provide a more varied instructional media.
