Abstrak

Monotonos learning process by using the method lecture doesn’t involve the students in the learning process and in the absence of media models that supports the media can cause the students low learning achievement. It is proved by the reality in SDN 1 Daren. The students learning achievement are still low. From 31 students who are achieve KKM (60) only 15 students (48,39%), whereas 16 students (51,61%) have not reached KKM. This research is to analize the application of media models ti increase the students science learning achievement in the material of simple plane in the fifth grade of SDN 1 Daren KecamatanNalumsariKabupatenJepara. Media models is one of the media which is representing the real object. By using the models, students can play an active role in learning because the learning will be more interesting and fun. In addition of replacing the original object by using models in learning process can overcome the limitations of space, time and power of senses so that the material is easy to understand. The research method is Classrom Action Research with two cycles of applying of artificial media using the PTK design fromStephen KemmisdanRobin Mc Taggartwith the steps: (1) planning, (2) implementation of action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. The technical analysis with qualitative and quantitative data.Data collection instrument that are used in this research such as interview, observation, test and documentation. The result of the first cycles research, the teacher management achieve mastery procentage of 74,17% with “good” criteria and has developed in the second cycle up to 85,83% with a “very good” criteria. Science cognitive learning achievement of students in cycle I reached 74,19% with “good” criteria and in the cycle II has increased to 93,55% with “ a very good” criteria. Students affective achievement of students in cycle I reached 71,52% with “good” criteria and in the cycle II has increased to 80,59% with “good” criteria. Students psychomotor aspec activity in cycle I is 72,50% with “good” criteria and in cycle II increased to 85,28% with a “very good” criterian. Based on result of the class acton research that has been done can be concluded that the use of the media models can improve student science learning achievementboth the cognitive, affective and psychomotor in the fifth grade of SDN 1 Daren. So it suggested several things : (1) the teacher can use models as an alternative media in improving learning process and optimal learning achievement. (2) the students are more active in learning process by the used of models. (3) the schools give facilities and infrastructure to the teaher for a better learning facilities, (4) the research must have a well preparation.
