The writer used oral test which consists of 15 item pair of words. The result of this research showed that mean of pre-test is 47,8 and the standard deviation is 13,6. Meanwhile the mean of post-test is 70,8 and the standard deviation is 8,4. Based on t-test calculation the result showed t-obtain (to) is 13,3. With the level of significance (α) 0.05, the Degree of Freedom (df) 21, t-critical (tt) is ± 2.080. Therefore, the writer rejected null hypothesis (H0) and accepted alternative hypothesis (Ha) because t-obtain (to) falls in the critical region. After conducting this research, the writer concludes that RLR (Record, Listen and Revise) technique is effective to be applied in teaching pronunciation of the seventh grade students ofSMP Negeri 1 Jaken Pati in 2016/2017 academic year.
