Abstrak

The low understanding of students about the dangers of drugs is because students have never received information services about the dangers of drugs. The low understanding of the dangers of drugs includes: types of drugs, the impact of drugs on health, drug abuse factors, characteristics of drug users, efforts to prevent drug abuse problems, sanctions imposed on drug users and dealers. The problem will be examined whether the level of student understanding can be improved through information services assisted by short film media, especially in class X IPA3 students in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Demak. In accordance with the formulation of the problems that have been raised, the purpose of this study is information services assisted by short film media can improve the understanding of the dangers of drugs in class X IPA3 students at SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Demak. This type of research is a guidance and counseling action research. The subjects of this study were 29 students of class X IPA3 in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Demak in the academic year 2018/2019 who had different levels of understanding about understanding the dangers of drugs. The design of this study was carried out in two activity cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2. Each cycle consisted of 4 stages of activity including: planning, carrying out actions, making observations and making analysis followed by reflection. Data collection methods are observation, interview and documentation. The validation of this class action research uses source triangulation by comparing and checking back the degree of trust in information obtained through different times and tools. Data analysis using descriptive qualitative includes data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that in the pre-cycle level of students' understanding of the dangers of drugs from 29 students in the sufficient category (average score of 97.7). Cycle I understanding of the dangers of drugs has increased in both categories (average score 114.2). This has increased the score of 16.4 from pre-cycle. Cycle II understanding of the dangers of drugs has increased in the excellent category (average score 132.9). This shows an increase of 18.7 from cycle I. The activities of researchers in the first cycle showed a good category (average score of 48.3). Experience an increase of 13 scores in the second cycle also with a good category (average score of 61.3). While the activities of students are known in the first cycle in the good category (average score of 37.6). Experience an increase in 7.1 also with a good category (average score of 44.7). Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the level of student understanding of the dangers of drugs in SMA Negeri 1 Karanganyar Demak has increased after being given six times the action of information services aided by short film media.
