Language is human’s tool to communicate with each other and their way to express or say the idea and thinking. To understand about language in movie script, we need to learn about grammar first especially about mood. By Mood structure of clause we would be describing how language is used to enable the expression of interpersonal meanings, through dialog. In exploring the meaning, Interpersonal meaning (mood) is key of it. By exploring the interpersonal meaning we can find out the speakers purpose and usually it called speech function. Based on the result of the research, I suggest the teacherscan use this research as an example when they teach about Grammar and Functional Grammar, especially in teaching about mood type and speech function realized by mood. The students can learn more about the mood type and speech Function through my research. It is also suggested that the further researcher should continue and develop this research with the analysis of the speech function bythe other character in this movie script, because this research only talks about mood and speech function realized by clause mood in the dialog used by the main character.
