Abstrak

We know that the number of covid 19 has decreased compared to last month. The researcher opinions’, learning applications such as Quizizz are very helpful for teachers in conducting assessments. The Researcher want to raise the theme The Use of Quizizz As An Assessment Tool for English Classes At The Eleventh Grade of MAN 1 Kudus. That's why the researcher choose this theme. The research aims to find out the implementation and the advantages and disadvantages on the use of Quizizz as an assessment tool for English classes at the eleventh grade in MAN 1 Kudus. This research used qualitative research with case study and questionnaire and interview as an instrument. The subject of this research was 34 students of MAN 1 Kudus in 2021/2022 academic year. There are three main problems experienced by students. Then, the students have some solutions to solve their problems. For the first problem that Quizizz is a less fun application. Of course, this is not entirely true, because most students think Quizizz is a fun application. The second problem is Quizizz is a less attractive learning assessment app. Of course wrong because Quizizz has a lot of features in it. students can immediately see student data statistics after working on questions, can find out if students' answers are wrong and right, can see student ratings after all students have finished working. The last problem is Quizizz still allows students to cheat. According to students Quizizz has a limit for doing questions. So when students cheat they will run out of time. The researcher suggests that the next researcher could continue this research with this topic, but in a wider scope. Then the researcher suggests for the students to pay attetion to the three main aspect, especially in fun learning assessment, interestingly the Quizizz application and, the potential students to cheat. And the English teachers must provide questions that are easy for students to understand.
