Abstrak
One way in managing the class is by using classroom English optimally. It should be master well by teaching practice students who conducts teaching practice program in the school. If classroom English is optimally used by them, it will also give influence for the students to do the same. But, in the class there are some teaching practice students who are still get difficulties in applying it. Whereas, it has been taught in Speaking for Instructional Purposes (SIP) and Micro Teaching subject. The objective of this research is to describe the use of classroom English by teaching practice students English Education Department Teacher Training and Education Faculty Muria Kudus University in SMA 1 Gebog in the academic year 2012/2013. The design of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The data of this research are utterances containing classroom English which is used by teaching practice students, while the data source is taken from transcript of video recording of teaching and learning process by teaching practice students in examination meeting. Those data will be analyzed by using the model of classroom English by Glyn Hughes and Josephine Moate (2007). After analyzing and also calculating the data, it is obtained that the use of classroom English by teaching practice students as many as 39%. So, it means that it is seldom used by them. There are some classrooms English which are not used by teaching practice students. Eventually, the writer suggests that the teaching practice students should develop and also maintain the use of classroom English to get real classroom environment. Then, for college students who want to take Teaching Practice subject that they should fully concern in using classroom English during the teaching and learning process. They can use the model of classroom English by Hughes and Moate as their reference, because it is often used in daily routines. At last, the writer also suggests for those who want to conduct a similar research as the writer did, they are able to elaborate the use of classroom English by analyzing it with other theories, different subject, and others.
