Abstrak

Before classroom action research is done, the learning reading comprehension skill condition of the students of SD 03 Demaan Kudus is not quite sufficient. This is because of some factors, they are: the learning model is still traditional so that the learning and teaching process is so bored and less effective, most of the student do not have quite learning motivation and do not like reading lesson, learning technique is traight to the evaluation with system the students are directly given tasks to read so that there is no fun learning, the students are generally passive in learning, and the achievement result of reading comprehension skill learning is not satisfied enough. Based on this condition, classroom action research is done. On the first cycle learning by STAD model is done, but base observation and test the result that’s got is still not satisfied enough, neither cognitive nor affective. This is caused by the STAD model application is less optimal, which is because the teacher and the students just knew this learning model. That’s way it is continued to the second cycle. In this second cycle, the learning result is really satisfied, either cognitive or affective domains. This is because the teacher and the students has been able to apply the proper learning model.
