Abstrak

Problems of this research come from the teacher’s ability in controlling classroom management in teaching social that is still uses a conventional method, so that the students are inactive in the process of learning and their result is still low. Based on the background its self, the solution are used to solve the problem is the teaching method of cooperative learning jigsaw type. So, the research question of this research is how can cooperative learning of jigsaw improve Studying Result For Social Study at Fourth Grade Students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis Bae Kudus in the academic year 2013/2014 in social subject (Natural social and culture)? The objectives of this research here is how can cooperative learning of jigsaw type this improve studying result for social study at fourth grade students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis Bae Kudus. Jigsaw is the teaching method wherever students work actively in mastering the material in the original group and the expert group to achieve the learning objectives. This research was conducted in fourth grade students of SDN 1 Gondangmanis Kudus using action research method of Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The independent variable of this research is Cooperative Learning of Jigsaw. Meanwhile the dependent variable is studying result improvement for social studies at fourth grade students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis Bae Kudus in social subject (Natural social and culture). Techniques of collecting data are observation, Test and documentary. The way in analyzing the data uses quantitative method and qualitative method. In the cycle I, the classical study is 57%, the average score of students is 67. The group evaluation score is 75. The average score of studentslearning activities is 60%. Teacher performer is 71% in the cycle I. In the cycle II, the average score of students is 78. The classical study is 86%. The group evaluation score is 88 in cycle II. Average score of students activities is 82%. And teacher performer is 84% Based on the result of the research, Cooperative Learning of jigsaw can Improve Studying Result For Social Studies at Fourth Grade Students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis Bae Kudus in the academic year 2013/2014 in social subject (Natural social and culture). The writer suggests that the teachers are supposed to create creative and innovative teaching so it can motivate the students to be active in process teaching and learning especially in social and the others subject. Teacher should add kind of models such as cooperative learning jigsaw type.
