Abstrak

This research has been conducted originated the teacher’s ability in controlling classroom management in teaching civics still uses a conventional method, that is why the students are inactive in the process of teaching and their achievement is still low. Based on the background its self, the writer wants to oversee its problem using the teaching method of Problem Based Learning. The objectives of the research here is how can the application of problem based learning Improving Studying Result for civics the fourth grade students achievement of SDN 1 Gondangmanis District Bae Kudus in civics subject globalization the environment. Model of Problem Based Learning is an instructional model using a related problem solving in the real world and require completion and student collaboration to solving problems, while the steps are as follows. (1) student orientation at issue, (2) organize the students to learn, (3) guiding the investigation of individual and group, (4) developing and presenting the work/tasks, (5) analyze and evaluate the problem-solving process . This research was conducted in SDN 1 Gondangmanis Kudus using class action research method of Kemmis dan Mc taggart in Arikunto. The independent variable of this research is problem bases learning. Meanwhile the dependent variable is Improve Studying Result for civics Study at Fourth Grade Students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis District Bae Kudus in civics subject globalization the environment. Techniques of collecting data are observation, data are worksheets and testand documentary. The way in analyzing the data uses quantitative way and qualitative way. First cycle classical completeness reached 66,67%. average value of 72,83 and the class average 77,88 on the evaluation group. Average of students' learning activities by 71,87%. Average student activity in a group of values obtained 80,33%. In the first cycle, the average teacher earned value management results 82,73%. Cycle II average value is 92,27. Classical completeness 88,89%, average the results of the evaluation group in the second cycle is 83,33. In the second cycle the average value of 86,87% of students' learning activities. Average activity of students in the group obtained a value of 100%. Average results of the management of teacher 91,07%. Based on the result of the research, application model problem based learning can Improving Studying Result For civics Study at Fourth Grade Students in SDN 1 Gondangmanis District Bae Kudus in civics subject globalization on the environment. The writer suggests to teachers is a teacher should be involved directly on education and innovation in developing learning models that correspond to the material presented to students. Teachers, you should be able to apply the learning model of problem based learning for the learning process to be more active civics , effective and efissien.
