Abstrak

Efforts to improve the entrepreneurial motivation of students to support learning in Higher Education is very important. This is because of globalization, modernization, regionalization and autonomization demanding major changes and independence in all areas. In order for changes to work optimally, it is necessary to adopt multiple perspectives and new approaches. The purpose of this study was to find answers to the problems raised, which according to the initial survey (July, 2011) suggests that the entrepreneurial motivation of students in the Joint Business Group (KUB) STAIN Kudus still low and thus require proper and serious solutions of various approaches. Theoretical approach in this study based on cultural fitfactors. Cultural fit factors derived from the merger of the three theories of culture: Hattwick McCarty (1992), Ratiu in Weinshall (1993) and Hofstede (1991) are considered to match the conditions of entrepreneurial motivation of students in the District of Spirit. Thus, the specific objectives of this study was to expand the study of the theory of cultural fit. The study used a qualitative analysis of data obtained from interviews of 23 students who are members of the Joint Business Group (KUB) STAIN Kudus. The results confirmed that the factors important in the cultural fit can increase the motivation of student entrepreneurs in the Joint Business Group (KUB) STAIN Kudus. Cultural fit factors are: first, to train a group and not individually. Second, the sharing of roles between men and women. Third, dare confront the situation/conditions of uncertainty. Fourth, train and discipline is always oriented activities. Fifth, the skillful use of information technology media. The sixth, and seventh master a foreign language, practice getting in touch with nature and the environment. The practical implications of this study is to contribute important information for entrepreneurs lecturer,colleges and faculty managers, business practitionersand government.
