Abstrak

Phenomena that exist today shows that the social problems and rolereligious life quite thick felt. This study aims to find out the root causes socio-religious in Indonesia, knowing the role of religious life in Indonesia in addressing the socio-religious issues, see whether religious values have become part of the religion, and to test empirically the existence of differing perceptions between faculty and students regarding the rolereligious life in Indonesia in the socio-cultural perspective. Academics as intellectuals are expected to have idealism in assessing the movement of moral or ethical response is adequate in the community and spread awareness of the moral / ethical is. All data in this study explored the perceptions of academics. Data obtained by distributing questionnaires to faculty and students who were selected at random at the University of Muria Kudus. Descriptive analysis of qualitative data to explain in descriptive of the data obtained from the academic information about: social and environmental problems in Indonesia, the role of religious life in Indonesia in addressing social and environmental problems, and whether religious values have become part of the culture. Analysis of hypothesis testing to test for differences in perceptions between faculty and students about the role of the life of the role of religious life in Indonesia in the socio-cultural perspective. The results of descriptive analysis of the roots of socio-religious issues in Indonesia is a poor value system, nature and understanding of religion is bad. The results of descriptive analysis of how the role of religious life in religious social problems is of 62 respondents stated that three so no role, no role 24, 18 and 7 play quite a role. The results of descriptive analysis about whether the values of religion has become a culture, 14 people stated yes and 48 people said it was not. Of the 48 respondents who said no, the reason why religious values have become a cultural value system caused by the poor (37 respondents) and the rest is largely limited to the ritualist declared religion alone. Hypothesis test results indicate the existence of differing perceptions between faculty and students about the role of religious life in Indonesia in the socio-cultural perspective. The underlying factor is the education and experience of lecturers specific operational. The average perception of lecturers is 2.2098; which means do not agree that religious life in the socio-cultural perspective has been very good at Indosesia. While the average student perception is 3.1581; showed the answer is quite a role.
