Abstrak

The background of this research is the low of activeness and achievement to learning social studies, caused by the teach of monotonous method, invariable learning and too much theorize without using learning models varied. Therefore, required of appropriate learning method. One of them, with application of cooperative learning model by tipe Numbered Heads Together.The statement of the problems on the research are how can cooperative learning model by tipe numbered heads together to increase activeness, teachers’teaching skills and achievement of social studies by class IVB of SDN Ngaluran 3 Demak. The purpose of the research is describe cooperative learning model by type Numbered Heads Together to increase activeness, teachers’teaching skills and achievement of social studies by class IVB of SDN Ngaluran 3 Demak. Cooperative learning model by type Numbered Heads Together is model of group discussion with the numbering for each member of the group, consists of phase 1: numbering, phase 2: ask a question, phase 3: think together and phase 4: answer. While IPS is one of the subjects as a combination of a number of social subjects studied a set of events, facts, concepts, and generalizations related to social issues, the material under study is a cooperative. This type of research is classroom action research the subject by class IVB of SDN Ngaluran 3 Demak did on November 2013 to July 2014. This research did in 2 cycles, with two meetings in each cycle. Method of collecting data used interview, test, observation and documentation. The instrument used list of question in interview, evaluation test, and observation sheet. The technique of analysis data used are technique of qualitative and quantitative data. The results showed that the activeness, teaching skills of teachers and achievement of social studies to increase in each cycle. The Students' learning activenessin the classical in pre-cycle is 568, persentage 53,79% with less valuation category, In cycle 1 increase to 691,5, persentage 65,48% with good assessment category and in cycle 2 increased to 849, persentage 80,39% with excellent assessment category. In cycle 1, teaching skills of teachers got the average score 2,9, persentage 73,44% with good assessment category, in cycle 2 increase to 3,6, persentage 90,63% with excellent assessment category. In pre-cycle, achievement of social studies (cognitive) gets an average of 56,52 with classical completeness 30,30%, in cycle 1 increase to 64,55 with classical completeness 60,61% and in cycle 2 increase to 73,48 with classical completeness 78,79%. In cycle 1, achievement of social studies (affective and psychomotor) got the score 1068,5, persentage 67,46% with good assessment category and in cycle 2 increase to 1283, persentage 80,99% with excellent assessment category. The conclusion of this study is application of cooperative learning model by type Numbered Heads Together to increase activeness, teaching skills of teachers and achievement of social studies.The suggestions in the research students should be more active in participating in social studies learning and cooperative learning model by tipe Numbered Heads Together can be an alternative to increase activeness and achievement of social studies.
