Abstrak

Background underlying this is the low education implemented mathematics learning achievement fourth grade students SD 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus. The low student achievement can be seen from the achievement of values Middle Deuteronomy semester math class IV academic year 2013/2014 there are still many students who score below the minimum completeness criteria. The low yield due to student learning in teacher learning is still conventional passive lead students in learning because learning is dominated by the teacher. Steps taken to improve the achievement of the fourth grade math students by implementing cooperative learning jigsaw type on mathematics learning material properties of simple geometry. Application of Cooperative Learning Jigsaw model aims to improve learning achievement, student activities and teacher skills. Type the Jigsaw cooperative learning group learning in which students learn the origin groups and expert groups. Jigsaw learning stages namely: (1) the establishment of an expert group; (2) the distribution of material per section; (3) creation of expert groups; (4) a discussion within the expert group; (5) back to the original group; (6) evaluation; (7) the awards. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, each cycle of the two meetings. Each cycle through the four stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of researchers and fourth grade students of SD 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus which consist 22 students. Data collection techniques included interviews conducted, testing, observation, and documentation. The instrument of research are student worksheet, teacher worksheet activity, basic of interview, the result of cycle andphoto. Data obtained include cognitive learning achievement data, which includes a student activity as well as affective and psychomotor skills of teachers. The data was analyzed by data analysis techniques quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that through cooperative learning jigsaw type can improve mathematics learning achievement fourth grade students SD 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus on the material properties of simple geometry.. This is evidenced an improvement in student achievement of phase II prasiklus up cyclically. Student achievement in pra cycles shows the average value of 66.68, with a classical completeness reaches 11 students (50%). In the first cycle the average class value increased to 67.95 with classical completeness 15 students (68.18%). In the second cycle the average class value increased to 76.36 with classical completeness of 20 students (90%). To increase the students' affective and psychomotor achievement indicated by increased activity of students in learning in the first cycle to the second cycle. Average student activity in the first cycle (66.94%) with high criterion, and the second cycle increased to 75.79 with a high criteria, for the improvement of teachers 'skills shown from the results of teachers' skills for learning. In the first cycle the acquisition of skills of teachers reaches 81.25% fall into either category and the second cycle increased to 85% in the excellent category. The conclusions in this study are learning through cooperative learning jigsaw type can improve student achievement Elementary School fourth grade SD 1 Prambatan Kidul Kudus in mathematics material properties of simple geometry. Suggestions in this study it is expected that other researchers can use a type of jigsaw cooperative learning becomes effective, the jigsaw type cooperative learning can used the other materials based on thegrade of students.
