Abstrak

The background of this research is the students inactive learning, so it causes the low score in the students learning result. Teacher uses speech method, so the students became inactive in learning. The problems in this classroom action research is (1) How Mind Mapping learning model could increase the students learning result in social studies of fourth grade students of SDN Banyuurip 02 in academic year 2013/2014 Margorejo district Pati regency? (2) Is applying Mind Mapping learning model can improve the student activities? (3) Is applying Mind Mapping learning model can improve the teacher’s skills? The purpose of this research is to increase the students learning result in Social Studies, increase the students learning activities, and increase the teacher’s skills. The use of this research theoritically can add the impact of Mind Mapping learning model. Mind Mapping learning models is a fun way of summarizing, making involves images, symbols, lines and colors so that students can learn while playing. The result of social studies is a good student behavior change in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning process after social learning. Frame of this study were inactive students in social studies causes the low student learning results. Hypotheses of this research is Mind Mapping learning model can increase social studies learning results, activity of 4th students SDN Banyuurip 02, and teacher’s skills. The method that used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). The step of this PTK are four steps including planning, holding, observation and documentation. The technique of collecting the data of this research is by test, observation and documentation. The instrument of the test in this research is coverm result studying test, observation sheet and documentation. Analysis data that used re quantitative data and qualitatif data. The results using Mind Mapping learning models shows (1) Increasing of student learning results of prasiklus gained 35%, in the first cycle and gained 70% in the second cycle was obtained an average of 95% with very good category. (2) Improvement of student learning activities 48.93% in the first cycle, the second cycle increased by 70.68% to obtain the percentage of good categories. (3) Increasing the skills of teachers in teaching social studies using the model of Mind Mapping in the first cycle to obtain the percentage increased to 72.5% in the second cycle to obtain a percentage of 79.75% is very good category. The reasercher suggests to the elementary school teacher in helding the learning process to use a learning model that appropriate so the students more understand and the learning process effective and fun. The author suggests for students to dare to express their opinions.
