Abstrak

The background of this research is found the low of IPS outcome in the fourth grade of SDN 2 Honggosoco student. It is coused the teacher still implicates conventional learning in IPS learning. The solution of that problem is implication of Contextual Teacing And Learning (CTL) to emphasize student activity by relating concept between the material learned and the real situation. The purposes of this research are (1) to know the increasing of student outcome in IPS subject technology development material by implicating CTL model in the fourth grade of SDN 2 Honggosoco Kudus student, (2) to describe student activity by implicating CTL model in IPS learning technology development material of the fourth grade of SDN 2 Honggosoco student, and (3) to describe skill to the teacher in learning process by implication CTL model in IPS learning technology development material of the fourth grade of SDN 2 Honggosoco student. CTL model is a learning model that emphasizes the student participate process to find the material learned and to relate with real situation in order to motivate the student in their life by the steps: (1) constructivism, (2) inquiry, (3) asking, (4) study society, (5) model, (6) reflection, (7) real evaluation. The material in this research is technology development. Technology is the product need long process based on understanding and consciousing and also through thinking and consideration. CTL model is appropiate to IPS learning technology development material. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) by two siclus, one of the siclus consist of four steps: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation and (4) reflection. The subject of this research are the teacher (reseacher) and seventeen of fourth grade of SDN 2 Honggosoco student. The technique of collecting data are interview, observation, test and documentation. The analyze data are qualitative and quantitative data. The result of the research in siclus I is acquired the increasing student outcome 70,6% with qualivication “good”, after doing remidial in siclus II, there is increasing 94,12% with qualivication “so good”. After doing research in siclus I, student activity result is 66,8% with qualivication “good”. After doing remidial in siclus II the result is 77% with qualivication “good”. The teaching skill of teacher after doing research in siklus I get result 71,3% with qualivication “good”. After doing remidial in siclus II get result 77% with qualivication “good. Suggestion for teacher, hoped CTL model to by reference in choosing learning model in order to achieve the purpose that the teacher. Hoped for student, it gives motivation in order to be spirit and active in the classroom. For school facilitates instrument that needed in teaching learning process. For next researcher, hoped more understand the step of CTL model in order to be success in learning.
