Abstrak

This research is motivated by low learning outcomes class IV students SD 2 Medini Undaan Kudus in social studies. The low learning outcomes due to learning that do still use the lecture method. Become more teacher and student learning resources just passively listening to the explanation from the teacher. This leads to the need for improvements in learning so that learning outcomes can be improved better. The problem of this research is the application of learning models is Examples non Examples can increase the activity of students, teachers can improve their skills in managing learning, and can improve the learning outcomes of social studies of learning material economic activity in class IV students of semester 2 of SD 2 Medini Undaan Kudus? This study aimed to describe the increase in student activity, describing the increase in teachers' skills in managing learning, and finding improvement in student learning outcomes of social studies of learning material economic activity in class IV students of semester 2 of SD 2 Medini Undaan Kudus. Learning outcomes is a change in behavior acquired after experiencing activities students learn the views of cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Learning model of Examples non Examples is a model that uses media images in the delivery of learning materials aimed at encouraging students to think critically to solve problems the way the examples contained in the image. Economic activity is an activity that people do to generate revenue. Earned income is used to meet the necessities of life. This study is an action research conducted in class IV of SD 2 Medini Undaan Kudus with research subjects 16 students and teachers, which lasted for two cycles, each cycle consisting of two meetings. The independent variable in this study is a learning model of Examples non Examples, while the dependent variable is the result of social studies material economic activity. Data collection methods such as interviews, observation, testing, field notes and documentation. Data obtained from the measures taken were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed the use of learning model of Examples non Examples can increase the skills of teachers to manage learning, students in learning activities and learning outcomes Civics students. It can be seen from the learning activities of students increased by the average percentage of cycle I 61,81% (High) and increased 72.35% in the cycle II (Very High). Learning management learning model of Examples non Examples also increased from 65,13% percentage (High) in the first cycle and 81,57% (Very High) on the second cycle. Student learning outcomes matter of economic activity also increased with the percentage of completeness 43,75%pre-cycle (less). In the cycle I of 68,75% (Good) and the cycle II of 81.25% (Good). The conclusions of this research is the application of learning model of Examples non Examples for social studies learning material economic activities can increase student learning outcomes class IV of SD 2 Medini Undaan Kudus in academic year 2013/2014. Suggestions in this study, students should participate more actively and focus for the learning activities in the classroom. For teachers should use innovative learning model that fits the characteristics of the students and to stimulate students to want to learn. For schools should provide appeal and support for teachers to use more innovative learning and placing students as subjects in learning activities. For further research to better understand the steps of learning model of Examples non Examples, so that the learning process goes smoothly.
