Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh bukti empiris pengaruh firm size dan leverage terhadap respon laba dengan variabel intervening timeliness dan voluntary disclosure (studi empiris pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2010 – 2013). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2010-2013. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 108 perusahaan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan dokumentasi yaitu laporan keuangan perusahaan yang terdaftar di BEI. Data dianalisis menggunakan path analysis dengan SPSS 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa firm size berpengaruh positif terhadap respon laba. Leverage tidak berpengaruh negatif terhadap respon laba. Firm size berpengaruh positif terhadap respon laba melalui timeliness. Leverage tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap respon laba melalui timeliness. Firm size tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap respon laba melalui voluntary disclosure. Leverage tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap respon laba melalui voluntary disclosure.
