Abstrak

Interaction strategies is used by teacher to deliver the material and to give feedback for the students. In teaching english in elementary school the teacher find some obstacles during apply the strategies so the students difficult to follow the rule. The objective of this research is to describe the interaction strategies applied by the English teacher and the difficulties find by the English teacher when applied the interaction strategies in teaching English at SD Nganguk amd SD Unggulan Muslimat NU in Kudus in academic year 2016/2017. The writer will give some information about the interaction strategies in teaching English so the teachers will choose the appropriate method to teaching English to the students. This presents research is qualitative research. The writer used the interview and observation to get the data. This data in this research is the interaction strategies in teaching English and the data source comes from the English teachers in SD Ngaguk and SD Unggulan Muslimat NU Kudus. The result of the research is the teachers of SD Nganguk Kudus used disscussion and drill and practice as the ineraction strategies and SD Unggulan Muslimat NU Kudus used discussion to teach English. The conclusion of this research are theenglish teacher find the students are not active, the material to teach engish is not ready, and the students feel tired to follow the english lesson. The writer suggests to the teacher to choose the appropriate interaction strategies to teach English.The students must be ready to follow the english lesson. And the teachers should conduct the English lesson so funny and enjoy.
