Abstrak
Monotonous learning tends to be boring causing students to be less enthusiastic in participating in learning. The lack of enthusiasm of students in participating in learning results in low student learning outcomes because in addition to monotonous learning, there is also a lack of supportive learning media during learning activities. This is evidenced by the fact that found in SD 7 Gondosari grade 5, totaling 21 students with a percentage of less than KKM 71.4% in science content and a percentage less than 61.9% KKM in social studies content, then learning media is needed to overcome problems and help improve student learning outcomes. Learning media is a bridge that helps students accept and facilitate understanding when doing learning. Media "Cempaka" (Cerdas dan Pintar Bersama PGSD UMK) is an Android-based learning media in which there are science, social studies and quiz games as evaluations to test students' knowledge. This study uses a Research & Development approach with research procedures consisting of Potential Problems, Data Collection, Product Design, Design Validation, Design Revision, Small Trial. Media Cempaka was tested on 5th grade teachers of SD 7 Gondosari and 5th graders of SD 7 Gondosari, totaling 6 students. The types of data used are qualitative and quantitative. The data instrument is a closed questionnaire with a scale range of TS (Disagree), KS (Disagree), S (Agree) and SS (Strongly Agree). Qualitative data analysis techniques in the form of descriptive qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques in the form of N gain test obtained from the results of the posttest and pretest scores. The results of the study found that the Cempaka media was suitable for use after following the suggestions and some inputs from media experts. Cempaka media was also declared effective after the N gain test was carried out after knowing the increase in results before and after using Cempaka media through posttest and pretest. Based on the results of the study, it is hoped that the Android-based Cempaka learning media can be further developed by further researchers or developers, and teachers are expected to be able to use Cempaka learning media in carrying out learning activities that will help students understand the material easily and can be used anytime anywhere while carrying a smartphone.
