Abstrak

One of the distinctive aspects of language is the idiom, which typically has a different meaning from the words from which it is constructed. Students frequently disregard the use of idioms, and they still seldom apply them. However, the teacher hasn't given adequate instruction on idiom learning. The purpose of this study was to examine the kinds and meanings of idiomatic idioms used by Raya and in The Last Dragon. The purpose of this study is to determine the sorts of idiomatic expressions used by the main characters in the film "Raya and the Last Dragon" and the idiomatic meaning of those terms. With content analysis, the researcher employed a descriptive qualitative method. Because the data were gathered from the conversation in Raya and The Last Dragon Movie, the researcher used documentation when gathering data.Using Boartner and Gates' theory to categorise the data, the researcher then used multiple idiom dictionaries to interpret the meaning in light of the situation. The output displays 58 idiomatic terms that were discovered in the film. Only two of the four idiomatic phrase categories could be discovered in Raya and The Last Dragon. The lexemic idiom up to 48 data, consisting of verbal (24), nominal (12), adverbial (6), adjectival (5), and phraseological idiom (11 data) idiomatic expressions, was most frequently discovered. The author was unable to locate the specific proverbs and frozen idioms. Then, 58 idiomatic idioms with contextual data were discovered. The author advises that future scholars continue and expand their studies on proverbial expressions and freezing
