Abstrak

This study aims to study and find out the potential of the city planning of Kudus regency whether it is able to support the implementation of City Walk. In addition to knowing the factors that support and hinder the development of the City Walk in the Holy City and the solution. This research is a descriptive or non-doctrinal legal research that is descriptive. The data used are primary and secondary data. Data is primary data while secondary data is data used to support primary data. Data collection techniques used with interview techniques, questionnaires and library research. The analysis used uses qualitative data analysis with interactive data models. City Walk in the Holy City was proposed in the Heart City area precisely in Alun-Alun or Simpang Tujuh to the West to Jalan Sunan Kudus to Masjid Menara Kudus to the north to Pasucen, It is expected that the place is visited by tourists both local and outside the area, Alun-Alun or Simpang Tujuh is the heart of the city adjacent to the Office of the Regent and the Ramayana Mall as the center of the Holy community's activities both for recreation or just to walk in the Alun-Alun , because every Sunday morning there is a program from the Government that is Car free Day. The most basic obstacle is the source of funds and budget to realize the Kota Kudus has the branding of City Walk and embodies the image of Kudus that is environmentally friendly with facilities that support the comfort of pedestrians in the City Walk area. Obstacles around the Kudus tower precisely on Jalan Sunan Kudus south of Menara Kudus as parking lots, tourist pedicabs, tourist motorbikes and tourist transportation, there must be socialization and counseling to the parties concerned about the policy of realizing City Walk in the area. The solution they moved to north Pasucen, so that pilgrims walk from the Menara Kudus Mosque to the north to enjoy City Walk.
