Abstrak

The objectives in this study are as follows: 1. Describe the actions of researchers in the implementation of group guidance techniques simulation techniques in increasing self-confidence in presentations to students of class XI IPS SMA 1 Mayong Jepara Academic Year 2018/2019. 2. Describe the increase in self-confidence in the presentation after the provision of simulation technique group guidance services to students of class XI IPS SMA 1 Mayong Jepara Academic Year 2018/2019. Self-confidence in the presentation is the attitude of students of class XI IPS 1 Mayong Jepara High School who are ready to deliver material from the papers that have been prepared to be delivered in front of the class. Self-confidence in presentations is marked by the voices of students who are loud in delivering presentation material, able to communicate well to audiences, deliver presentation material in a relaxed and in no hurry, students also dare to see and look at all audiences when presenting papers in front of the class. Group guidance services are services in counseling given to group members who rely on group dynamics. Group guidance services are carried out in four stages, namely the formation stage, the intermediate stage, the activity stage or the core stage and the termination stage. This type of research is an act of guidance and counseling research. The subjects studied were ten students of class XI IPS in SMA 1 Mayong Jepara. Data collection techniques use observation and interview techniques. Analysis of the data used is a mixed method technique by combining quantitative data analysis with strengthened with qualitative data to obtain stronger research conclusions. Confidence in student presentations before action is known to be 18.7 (37%) categories (Less). Cycle I shows that the confidence in students of class XI IPS 1 Mayong Jepara High School has increased. At the first meeting group members received an average score of 21.4 (43%) in the (Less) category. The meeting of the two group members received an average score of 24.9 (50%) category (Less), the meeting of the three group members received an average score of 27.7 (55%) category (Enough). Cycle II has shown an increase. It is known from the acquisition of their observation score at the first meeting which gets a score of 30.2 (60%) category (Enough), the second meeting gets a score of 33.3 (67%) category (Good), the third meeting gets a score of 35.8 ( 72%) category (Good). The conclusions from the results of the study are as follows. 1. The implementation of group guidance on simulation techniques given by researchers to group members of class XI IPS in Mayong Jepara 1 High School proved to have increased. In the first cycle, the researcher found that the score was 63% (Enough), in the second cycle it increased to 78% in the category (Good). 2. Self-confidence in presentations held by XI IPS students at Mayong Jepara 1 High School has increased. Before giving group guidance, the technique of self-confidence simulation in the presentation was 37% (Less) category. The first cycle of self-confidence in the presentation increased to 55% (Enough), the second cycle increased to 72% in the category (Good). Some suggestions submitted by researchers are as follows. 1. Principal: Principals should improve the quality of learning in schools by focusing on audience centered learning concepts so as to increase students' confidence and ability to argue and convey their ideas. And improve the quality of the implementation of guidance and counseling at Mayong Jepara 1 High School. 2. Subject Teachers: Subject teachers should provide training to students before asking students to make presentations in front of the class. So that students can understand what should be done when delivering the material presented. 3. Counseling Guidance Teacher: Counseling guidance teacher should use simulation techniques in helping students achieve their development tasks, especially on cognitive aspects in the guidance and counseling program at Mayong Jepara 1 High School. 4. Students: Students should prepare themselves, material, technical matters needed for the presentation. So that the readiness and confidence in presentations in all subjects can increase. 5. Further Research: Future researchers should use other available techniques or media to increase self-confidence in presentations through group guidance services.
