Abstrak

The purpose of this study are: 1) To find out the factors that cause students in SMAN 2 Demak to experience negative effects of introverts. 2) To overcome the negative impact of introverts on counseling services on behavioristic counseling approaches systematic desensitization techniques for students at SMAN 2 Demak. Introvert is a character of someone who tends to save his thoughts or feelings, closes himself, prefers solitude, a tendency to develop symptoms of fear and depression, characterized by a tendency towards obsession with irritability, apathy, inferiority, easy daydreaming and insomnia. To overcome students who experience negative introverted effects, the researchers overcome them by using behavioristic counseling which is expected to be able to provide real changes in counselee behavior. Because behavioristic counseling is behavior oriented, so researchers use one of the techniques in behavioristic counseling, which is systematic desensitization to help overcome students who experience negative introverted effects so that students have appropriate behavior in their environment. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research designed in the form of a case study. The subjects studied were YB, DKS, and SDRU introverted students in class XI of SMAN 2 Demak in the academic year 2018/2019. Data collection techniques carried out are: 1) Interview, 2) Observation, 3) Documentation. The analysis used in this study is inductive. The method of analyzing data in this study is carried out systematically starting from the process of collecting data, clarifying, and describing each part. Suggestions: 1) To students, students are expected to be able to understand the conditions that exist in themselves, and understand the consequences arising from the problem of negative impacts of introverts, so students are able to overcome the problems they are experiencing, so students can carry out developmental tasks properly in accordance with the procedure. 2) Guidance Counselors, Guidance Counselors can use the results of meetings with researchers to pay more attention to counselees and identify students' problems at SMA 2 Demak in more depth. 3) Researchers, Researchers are expected in the future researchers can practice patience and improve their ability to provide individual counseling services to help overcome problems experienced by students, by applying techniques in counseling that are appropriate to the problems experienced by students, and can provide counseling services that are better and comfortable so that it can provide optimal results.
