Abstrak

The purpose of this research was to examine empirically the correlation job satisfaction and job discipline at production department of PT Bintratex Semarang. The subjects of this research were 45 employees, taken from population using purposive sampling technique. The dependent variable was the employee’s job discipline, meanwhile the independent variable was the employee’s job satisfaction. The data of the variables were collected using two scales that were Job Discipline Scale and Job Satisfaction Scale. The data were analyzed by means of Spearman ’s Rank Order correlation technique. Data analysis showed that the t-obtained = 4.94, t-table = 1.786. Therefore, there was positive and significant correlation between job satisfaction and job discipline at production department of PT Bintratex Semarang. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini menguji hubungan antara kepuasan kerja dengan disiplin kerja karyawan bagian procuksi PT Bintratex Semaarang. Subyek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari 45 responden, dengan menggunakan gteknik random sampling. Variable dependen adalah disiplin kerja karyawan, dan independen variable adalah kepuasan kerja karyawan. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan tehnik korelasi Spearman’s Rank. Data analisis thitung = 4,94, dan ttabel = 1,786. Hasil menunjukkan ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kepuasan kerja karyawan dengan disiplin kerja karyawan.
