Abstrak

This paper would like to elaborate about the improvement of students’ speaking ability treated by using mobile-video for speaking community assignment. It explains how does mobile-video making for speaking community assignment improve the students’ speaking ability. This belongs to small based project strategy or technique. The paper begins with the explanation of speaking and continues with elaboration of teaching speaking and how is the project made. Speaking is often thought of as a “popular” form of expression which uses the unprestigious colloquial register: literary skills are on the whole more prized. It deserves much attention, especially in second language. Learners need to be able to speak with confidence in order to carry out many of their basic transactions. It is the medium of social soildarity, social ranking, professional advancement, and business. Speaking is also a medium through which much language is learnt and which for many is particularly conducive for learning. Applying this project in teaching speaking contributes in improving students’ speaking ability. Teachers are not the centre in learning process, but to be facilitator and students do the real practice in doing the conversation out of classroom.
