Abstrak

The background of this research is the students Social Studies subject outcomes is so low. The pre-classroom action research score shows that 12 students of 21 fifth grade students of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus got score below KKM. The purpose of this research is to decribe the improvement of learning outcomes of students and management class by applying jigsaw type cooperative model assisted by chart media in the materials subject of technology, production, communication, and transportation developments of fifth grade students of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus. Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model is a part of learning cooperative model developed for cooperation and responsibility in a group. This learning model leads to placement of small groups consist of 4-5 members. Each group get information that discuss about one topik from the learning materials at that time. From the given information, each group member have to learn different parts from that information. Hypothesis of action of this research is the improvement of Social Study Subject learning outcomes and the learning activities of students is significant by the application of Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model assited by chart media in the materials subject of technology, production, communication, and transportation developments of fifth grade students of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus. This classroom action research use Kurt Lewin Model conducted in the fifth grade classroom of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus with the teacher and 21 students as the research subject. This research conducted in 2 cycles, each cycle consist of 2 meeting. The independent variable of this research is Jigsaw Type Cooperative learning model. And its dependent variable is the Social Studies subject learning outcomes doamin cognitive, afective, and psychomotoric of students in the materials subject of technology, production, communication, and transportation developments of fifth grade students of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus. The data collection that used is interview, observation, test, dokumentation, and field note. In the data analysis used quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The result of the research shows that there is an improvement of the students Social Study subject outcome in the materials subject of technology, production, communication, and transportation developments significantly between pre-cycle’s result (42,85%), the result cycle I (71,42%) and the result of cycle II (90,47%), supported by the improvement of the students Social Study subject affective learning outcomes, in the afective domain of cycle I 67,75% (good) become 88,5% (very good), whereas in the psychomotoric domain of cycle I 69,7% (good) become 88,67% (very good). The management of jigsaw type cooperative learning improved too, from cycle I precentage 73,75% (good) become 86,25% (very good) in the cycle II. The conclusion of this research is the application of type jigsaw cooperative model can improve the learning outcomes and the learning activity of Social Studies Subject in the materials subject of technology, production, communication, and transportation developments of fifth grade students of SD 2 Jurang Gebog Kudus. The suggestion on this research, the students should be more aware and give more attention to what teachers teach or convey. For the teachers, also, should applicate a creative and inovative learning model so that the students interest in learning process. For the school, should provide more varies learning media to support the activeness and the success of learning process.
