Abstrak

Background of this research is the low ability of self-management in learning there are some students who have not been able to optimize the ability of self-management in learning at school. Relation to self-management capabilities in learning, among others, have not been able to formulate learning objectives, evaluate their own can not, can not give an appreciation of what has been done or accomplished. So if it is not treated immediately will have an impact on student achievement. Therefore, the formulation of the problem is how the mastery of content services with symbolic modeling techniques can enhance the ability of self-management in learning in class X PD 1 SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus academic year 2013/2014? The purpose of the research: Exposing the mastery of content application services with symbolic modeling techniques in improving the ability of self-management in learning in class X PD 1 SMK Raden Umar Said Kudus academic year 2013/2014. Self-management capabilities in learning is the ability of individuals to manage their own potential and the potential of the environment to regulate their behavior in learning. Mastery of content services are support services to students so that students can master the content capabilities through learning activities. As well as a symbolic modeling technique is behavior-behavior model is shown through film, video and other recording media. This study was designed in the form of PTBK. Subjects examined in this study were students of class X PD 1 SMK Sacred Raden Umar Said as many as 34 students. Research variables: Mastery of Content Services with Symbolic Modeling Techniques (Variable Bound) and Self Management Ability in Learning (Independent Variable). Methods of data collection with basic methods of observation, interview and documentation. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative data. Research done 2 cycles (cycle I and cycle II) each cycle of 3 meetings, each cycle consists of 3 phases. Data obtained from observations made directly with the classroom teacher. The study was conducted with data from observations of the 10 aspects of the assessment. Based on observations made self-management capabilities in learning has increased from cycle I to cycle II. This is evidenced by the results obtained from any observations made before the action, and after the first cycle and the second cycle showed that the ability of self-management in learning has increased by an average value in the pre cycle got a score of 21.82 (or less), the cycle I got an average of 29.58 (enough), and the second cycle had an average value of 39.17 (good). Based on the results of research and discussion it can be concluded that the mastery of content services with symbolic modeling techniques can enhance the ability of self-management in learning. It is evident mastery of the content prior to delivery of services with symbolic modeling technique of self management ability in learning less. After mastering the content services with symbolic modeling techniques in the first cycle management capabilities in learning gain self sufficient category and the second cycle of self management ability in learning gained either category. Thus the hypothesis can be accepted as verified. Looking at the findings of researchers in the field advising: To the headmaster is expected to provide opportunities, support, and facilities to carry out the services to BK mastery of content with symbolic modeling techniques to improve self-management of learning. BK teachers to not rule out the ability of self-management problems in student learning, but instead must seriously deal. Students are expected to actively and openly willing to follow and utilize the service with content mastery of symbolic modeling techniques as a medium of improving their competence, in particular the ability of self-management in learning.
