Abstrak
In association with teaching profession, in this extensively and intensively digital world, the use of online modes and materials has popularly exerted tremendous changes in the way of teaching and learning as well as in classrooms activities. This paper is to explore the students’ opinions on using online and offline materials to support academic writing classes. It particularly inquires their opinions on the application of voluntarily offline mode portfolio in forms of handwritten works and assignments in Academic Writing I Class at EED UMK in Odd Semester of Academic Year 2009/2010. This discussion covers the background, purpose, method, results and suggestions
