Abstrak

This study aims to (1) describe the improvement the skills of teachers after the implementation of learning models Snowball Throwing in social studies learning, (2) Finding improving student learning outcomes fourth SD 2 Panjunan after the implementation of Learning Models Snowball Throwing in social studies learning materials technology development. The learning result is the value of the process Studied have been achieved by students with certain criteria. The results of student learning is basically a change in the students. Throwing a Snowball learning model of learning which was adopted from the physical game where Circles snow thrown the purpose hitting other people, by throwing a paper circleshave to students answered questions from the teacher to make students understanded of material. Hypothesis action in this study were (1) an increase in the skills of teachers to manage classes with the application of learning models Snowball Throwing in social studies learning, (3) an increase in student learning outcomes fourth SD 2 Panjunan with the implementation of learning modelsSnowball Throwing on learning Social Studies. Classroom Action Research was conducted in SD 2 Panjunan with research subjects 36 students. The study lasted for two cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The independent variable was the learning model Snowbll Throwing. While the dependent variable is the result of learning. Data collection methods used were observation, interview, test and documentation. Data were analyzed using analysis of quantitative and qualitative data. The results showed using a model Throwing Snowball can improve the skills of teachers to manage the activities of learning, and student learning outcomes IPS. It can be seen from the fulfillment of the following indicators of success. (1) Improvement the skills of teachers to manage learning in the first cycle to the second cycle increased from good criteria 75.42%, increase into 92% criterion either be very good criteria (2) The results of students' affective on the first cycle obtain sufficient criteria 65.93% increase in the second cycle into 75.86% good category (3) the results of student learning in the psychomotor domain of the first cycle gained 66.35% enough category increased in the second cycle into the category of either 77.3% (4) the results of students' cognitive cycle I obtained 58.3% increase in the second cycle to 83.3% of pre-defined classical completeness is 75%. The conclusions in this Study is the application of learning models Snowball Throwing learning Social Studies technology development can improve student learning outcomes fourth SD 2 Panjunan Academic year 2015/2016. Suggestions for teachers, expected learning models Snowball Throwing can be used as reference in choosing a learning model for learning can be achieved in accordance with the objectives expected by the teacher. For students, students are expected to follow the teaching earnestly in order to become active. For schools, the school is expected to facilitate infrastructure and facilities required in teaching and learning. For the next researcher, can as one referensi development design and implement learning models Snowball Throwing in order to produce better learning.
