Abstrak

Learning activities are important things that must be done by a student as a learner, but there are still many students who see learning as something boring and not too important. This study aims to improve student learning activities on social and Indonesian content, as well as teacher skills through the numbered-head together learning model assisted by media Takesi on the theme 7 Beautiful Diversity in My Country Class IV at SD 2 Hadipolo. In order to increase student learning activities it is necessary to apply the NHT learning model which is a learning model in the form of group discussion which is used to check student understanding in learning activities, which involves students by means of each student getting the head sequence number in a group discussion, the head sequence number can be either numeric or picture. The learning process will be more meaningful if assisted with a learning media that supports. In this study using media Takesi "Tangga Keberuntungan Siswa". This Classroom Action Research was conducted in class IV SD 2 Hadipolo with 32 students as research subjects. This research lasted for two cycles using the CAR design from Kemmis & Mc. Taggart. The stages in this CAR are planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data collection methods include techniques of observation, interviews and documentation. Analysis of the data used in the form of quantitative and qualitative data. The results of the research on teaching skills of teachers in the first cycle obtained a percentage of 75% with sufficient criteria, and in the second cycle increased to 88% with good criteria and had achieved the indicators of success set by the researchers. On observing student learning activities from cycle I to cycle II, the average from cycle I was 12.84 from the total number of students who completed 15 students with a percentage of 47% included in the "Less" category. Then experienced an increase in the second cycle which gained an average of 14.60 from the number of students who completed 27 students with a percentage of 84% included in the category of "Very Good". Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the use of the Numbered Head Together model assisted by media Takesi can improve teacher teaching skills and can improve learning activities of grade IV students at SD 2 Hadipolo Kudus.
