Abstrak

Learning past tense which according to students is difficult to understand. Students do not seem to understand the material and look very bored. The problem in this study states what types of errors and factors that influence students to write a narrative text. The purpose of this research. The purpose of this study is to find out the problem of errors and the factors that influence students to write a narrative text. The design of the research is a case study. This research was conducted at the MA Sabilul Ulum, the study population was class XI. Based on the data, the students of MA Sabilul Ulum for the academic year 2022/2023 the researchers analyzed the types of errors: omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. Then, the researcher found that the errors contained in the misformation were 49 parts. Based on the results of the research, the researcher suggests that the teacher gives the task of writing stories so that students can write texts properly and correctly.
