Abstrak
In learning English, knowing vocabulary is very important. How English is taught to students as a global language has been the subject of much research. Even though English is a universal language, some countries still have restrictions on teaching English as a foreign language. The problem of this research is whether the use of Animated Videos to teach vocabulary to tenth grade students at SDN 1 Tanjung Rejo Jekulo Kudus in the 2023/2024 academic year makes a significant difference in vocabulary learning. This research uses Animated Videos as a vocabulary teaching tool for tenth grade students at SDN 1 Tanjung Rejo Jekulo Kudus to find significant differences in vocabulary between before and after. This research is an experimental study with one pretest and posttest group. This research explores the differences in students' vocabulary before and after being taught using Animated Videos. Only one class in this study was a respondent who received treatment as part of this design. The sig (2-tailed) value obtained is 0.00, which is less than 0.05, therefore there is a significant difference. As a result, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, there is a difference between the two values. This proves that Animated Videos are effective for teaching vocabulary to tenth grade students at SDN 1 Tanjung Rejo Jekulo. The df (Degrees of Freedom) found was 12 with a significance value (α/2) of 0.05/2 which was 0.025. The t-table value is 2.178. The calculated t-value (7.878) is higher than the t-table (2.178). The sig (2-tailed) value shows sig (0.000) lower than sig α (0.05). This means (Ha) is accepted and teaching using Animated is more effective compared to conventional methods
