Abstrak

The purpose of this study is to define the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model, the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model, and the differences between the effect of the Teams Games Tournament and Contextual Teaching and Learning learning models. The Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Model is a learning model that makes students learn actively. Meanwhile, the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) Model is a learning model that link learning material to real world context. It is anticipated that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) models lead to positive changes and improvements in student learning outcomes. Civic Education learning is expected to improve student learning outcomes, especially in the cognitive domain. The study was conducted on class V students at SD Trangkil Negeri 01, SD Negeri Trangkil 03, and SD Negeri Trangkil 05, Pati district, Central Java. This study used a quasi-experimental design with the Teams Games Tournament and Contextual Teaching and Learning models as the experimental group and the conventional model as the control group. The study analyst used normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-Gain tests. The data analysis technique used in this study is a quantitative data analysis technique. Quantitative data analysis techniques are a series of procedures used in research to process, analyze and interpret data in the form of numbers. The results of the study showed that: (1) there was an effect of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model on the Civic Education learning outcomes of grade V elementary students in Trangkil District, Pati. The results of the paired samples t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, or a t-count of 15.534, which is greater than the t-table of 2.10982; (2) there was an effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model on the Civic Education learning outcomes of grade V elementary students in Trangkil District, Pati. The results of the paired samples t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000, which is less than 0.05, or a t-count of 11.658, which is greater than the t-table of 2.09302; (3) there was a difference in the Civic Education learning outcomes for the material "Norms in My Life" between grade V students using the Teams Games Tournament and Contextual Teaching and Learning learning models. The mean score of the experimental class 1 using the Teams Games Tournament learning model was 27.566, which is higher than the mean score of the experimental class 2 using the Contextual Teaching and Learning learning model of 24.530.
