Abstrak
Students Madrasah Aliyah (MA) or same with senior high school (SMA) must master the basic aspect of the English language. students can or cannot speak English depending on each students. The main reason students have difficulty in mastering English is that students do not practice in their daily life. Students need motivation from teacher and friends to motivate them in learning English. And students also solve problems in learning English vocabulary. The purpose of the research is (1) To find the students problems in learning English vocabulary. (2.) To find how to students solutions to problems in learning English vocabulary. Research using qualitative research, case study research. The researcher uses a questionnaire to find the result of this study. This questionnaire uses some aspects. First to find out the problems in learning English vocabulary is Grammar aspect (75%), Word meaning aspect (33%), Spelling aspect (16%), Pronunciation aspect (13%), Second, to find student Solutions to problems in learning English vocabulary is Motivation aspect (28%), and solution aspect (23%). Based on the conclusion, first students still have difficulty with problems English vocabulary. Second, the teacher supports and motivate the students. And then the solution is students cannot find a solution to solve the problem of English vocabulary.
