Abstrak

Teaching and learning social studies in elementary school is still emphasized by mastering material and memorizing. On the other hand, the students difficult to remember and memorized the material informatively. One of the models that can be used is map concept. It is started from the basic problem to the supporting part which is relevant to each other. The problem in this research is; does implementation of map concept model can in crease learning result of IPS in Indonesian independence proclamation material class V SD Muhammadiyah Kedungwinong?. The purpose of this research is to increase learning result of IPS in Indonesian independence proclamation material using map concept model in class V SD Muhammadiyah Kedungwinong. Learning outcomes is a change in behavior of learning outcomes include the areas of cognitive , affective , and psychomotor . Learning model is a concept map learning model that starts from the heart of the matter to the supporting parts that have relationships with each other . IPS is a social science that given in elementary school aims to help students develop the students' skills , attitudes and values and can take decisions in berkehidupan to become good citizens . This hypothesis is the application of action learning model concept maps can improve learning outcomes IPS Indonesian independence proclamation material class V SD Muhammadiyah Kedungwinong Sukolilo District Pati . Classroom action research was conducted in SD Muhammadiyah calss V with 16 students as the subject of research. This research was done by two cycles, every cycles consist of four step; planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The independent variable in this research is map concept model. The dependenct variable is learning result of IPS class V in Indonesian independent proclamation material. The result of this research showed that there is an in creasing of learning result of IPS class V in Indonesian independence proclamation using map concept model. The previous data was obtained 44%. After using map concept model, there were an increasing which was showed in cycle I (56%) and in cycle II (75%). Supported by an in creasing in activity of individual learning result by 72% (high) and cycle II was 83% (very high). Activity of group learning result in cycle I was 73% (high) and in creased in cycle II was 85 (very higt). Activity of teacher in cycle I was 76% (good) and increased in cycle II was 87% (very good). Classroom action research was conducted in SD Muhammadiyah Kedungwinong class V can be concluded that implementation of map concept model can increase the learning result of IPS in Indonesian independence proclamation material. The teachers are expected to be able to implement the model as an alternative solution to solve the problems in teaching and learning IPS in the classroom.
