Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh persaingan, kepemilikan manajerial, debt to equity ratio (DER) terhadap agency cost pada perusahaan manufaktur yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) pada tahun 2010-2014. Penentuan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Jumlah perusahaan manufaktur yang dijadikan sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 13 perusahaan dengan 5 tahun pengamatan dan total sampel yaitu sebanyak 65. Metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda dengan menggunakan program SPSS release 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penjualan perusahaan berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap agency cost. Cost per sale (CPS) berpengaruh signifikan negatif terhadap agency cost. Property, plant, and equipment (PPE) berpengaruh negatif terhadap agency cost. Kepemilikan manajerial tidak berpengaruh terhadap agency cost. Debt to equity ratio tidak berpengaruh terhadap agency cost.
