Keywords: Dating, Group conseling, Homeroom Engineering Dating is a premarital relationship between a man and a woman whose aim is to get to know each other in order to create compatibility. Group guidance services using the Homeroom technique can provide understanding for students. The problem that occurred in this research was preventing the negative impact of dating at SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus. The aims of this research are: 1. To determine the increase in students' understanding before and after being provided with Homeroom technical group guidance services to students in class X MPLB 3 SMK PGRI 1 Mejobo Kudus. 2. To determine the effectiveness of implementing homeroom technical group guidance services to prevent the negative impact of dating on students by using group guidance. The research used a quasi experimental design method, one group pretest and posttest. This research was carried out in class X MPLB 3 with a pretest carried out to determine the number of research subjects who needed treatment. The results of the research showed that before group guidance was carried out using the homeroom technique (pretest), understanding of the negative impacts of dating tended to be low with an average of 71.5 and after being given treatment by group guidance services using the homeroom technique (posttest), understanding of the negative impacts of dating experienced a significant increase. with an average of 132.3. From the results of hypothesis testing with the Paired Sample T Test, there are significant differences and influences regarding the understanding of the negative impact of dating on students before and after being given homeroom engineering group guidance service treatment, with a significance value of 0.000>0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that homeroom technique group guidance has been proven to prevent the negative impacts of dating by increasing understanding.
