Abstrak

General English is a very important language to learn. By studying English, students must know how to read, write and speak in English, therefore mastery of English understanding is very important, and by using current technology we can use learning media such as applications that support students' English in vocabulary learning, therefore the promova application will be applied in students' vocabulary learning. This study aims to determine how the promova application is applied as a student learning medium. On the other hand, this study also aims to determine the advantages and disadvantages of the promova application as an English learning medium for students. This study uses a qualitative descriptive design with observation, questionnaire, and interview instruments. In this study, one English teacher of grade XI and students of grade XI 1 of SMA 1 Mejobo Kudus will be participants in the selection of class XI 1 because it appoints a sample as a representative of the entire class to try the promova application as a learning medium for students' understanding. Based on the findings obtained when using the promova application as a learning medium for students' English understanding in class, it looks very effective when the learning media is applied in learning. The results of the researcher's observations show that the application of promova as a learning medium for students' English can take place well. Effective and for the application to the students themselves, the results of the questionnaire also showed good results because many of them strongly agreed and agreed that they could apply the promova application as a learning comprehension media and as a learning media and its advantages and disadvantages. From the promova application itself, researchers have interviewed English teachers and the results obtained from the interview more or less show that each application has its advantages and disadvantages, and along with increasingly sophisticated developments like this, learning media are needed that support students as teaching materials and this shows that the application of promova can be applied in learning by knowing its effective application and knowing the advantages and disadvantages of the promovaapplication as a learning media for understanding this can make the promova application used in every class not only class XI 1 but can be used by all classes and all students to learn English for students and this will make it easier for them to learn English. The researcher concluded that by creating a comfortable classroom atmosphere and achieving teaching and learning activities, the application of promova application is very effective as a learning media for students' English comprehension. Meanwhile, for the advantages and disadvantages, each application has advantages and disadvantages, but using different applications or learning media will support the development of today's education world and can increase student creativity and student interest in learning.
